MEGHAN BRADY The Art of Seeing Work With Me

THE PHILOSOPHY

The Art of Seeing

A practice of observation, pattern recognition and better questions.

WHY IT MATTERS

Seeing begins before interpretation.

The Art of Seeing grew from years of working with horses, but it is not a bodywork technique. It is a way of thinking. It asks us to slow down the moment between noticing something and deciding what it means, because that space is where better questions begin.

When we learn to separate observation from assumption, recognize patterns instead of isolated moments and understand information in context, we make better decisions—for the horse, in our work and in the relationships around it.

THE SIGHT FRAMEWORK

Five principles for seeing more clearly—in horses, work, relationships, and life.

SIGHT is a five-part framework for slowing down interpretation, noticing patterns, grounding what we see in context, staying open to new information, and recognizing the lens we bring to the picture.

S

Stay With What Is There

Observe before you interpret. Begin with what is actually present without rushing to label it, explain it, fix it, or react to it.

I

Investigate the Pattern

Look for repetition, relationships, and change over time. One moment is information; the pattern helps give it meaning.

G

Ground It in Context

History, environment, timing, workload, relationships, and circumstances shape what you are seeing and can change what it means.

H

Hold Conclusions Lightly

Let new information change the picture. Curiosity keeps you responsive when certainty would close the door.

T

Turn the Lens on Yourself

Notice the expectations, experiences, fears, and assumptions you bring with you. The observer is always part of the picture.

What we notice changes the questions we ask.

And better questions change what becomes possible.

WHERE IT LEADS

Seeing differently changes what you do next.
